It's Spring time, ahhh...
Don't you just love May? Two nice long Bank Holiday weekends and the weather starts to take a turn for the better (sort of). It's also a good time to take a fresh look at the marketing plan and look for new ideas.
So our theme this month is growth, rejuvination and helping firms freshen-up their marketing plans. Oh, and say hello to Mint Sauce, our favourite Yorkshire Spring lamb.

Helping SMEs to grow
We've launched a new service for start-ups, small companies and entrepreneurs.
Called The Smart Start, it offers companies and not-for-profit organisations consultancy and bespoke services to suit smaller budgets.
Heading the service is Emma Kirkaldy, who started her own business from scratch eight years ago.
She says: “We recognised that there is a huge interest now in people starting their own business.
"Entrepreneurs like Peter Jones and Sir Alan Sugar have become celebrities in their own right and their success has encouraged people to go out on their own. However, we know being in business can be tough and it can be hard for small companies to get their message across in a crowded marketplace. That’s where positive PR and targeted marketing communications can help."
Smart offers the full range of services including media coverage, events, design, direct mail and copywriting for newsletters and websites.
If you are not a small business, perhaps you have clients that would benefit. Visit: www.thesmartstart.co.uk for more information and outline costs.
Supporting the commercial drive
Glass repair and replacement specialist Solaglas Windowcare has asked Smart to help it achieve greater share of the commercial and retail sectors.
Along with media relations activities, the agency will manage advertising and sponsorship.
Nigel Charlesworth, leading the account said: "Solaglas Windowcare is already a prominent player in the insurance sector and is now turning its sights on its growing commercial glazing operation.
"We are helping with all aspects of the marketing effort which includes design, advertising and generating media coverage in key trade titles."
